Hetalia Episode 9 ~ The Allies Miracle Plan…
He annoys me just by doing that
Is what I would call the strategy that America puts into action at the beginning of this episode. It doesn’t get any more subtle then with America taking center stage and relegating all other countries to support. I’m not quite sure how close politics plays to this image though…they’d never admit it, but they’d sure like to believe that America is the centre of the world.
Rejected!
In retrospect, it does have SOME truth to it - the USA did play a major part in the Allies’ counterattacks, but I don’t think they ever really want to admit that out loud. Congratulations to England for rebuking America with a timely reminder that they colonized him in the first place. If only everyone knew how to work together on first meeting then WW2 probably wouldn’t have lasted so long…
France is annoying as usual too. Apparently his snazzy dress style is a target for everyone to beat him up (which I can attest to being true too since he did get carved up pretty badly during the war). On the otherhand, I’ve got to hand it to China for taking on the initiative early on and dividing and taking the majority of the spoils for himself. Then there is everyone just throwing Japan to Amercia because they didn’t want him in Europe…and we all know about Okinawa to see that it did happen.
Holy Roman Empire: No wonder the art was bad during then.
The thing that surprised me the most was China actually speaking Chinese. The accent was understandable but amusing nonetheless. Very random pieces in the middle of a very nonsensical part of the episode too.
And in Chibitalia…it seems the Holy Roman Empire and Italy have grown just a little closer. And the former seems to have fallen for him after all…it’s suppose to be cute but I’m getting slightly weirded out by two young boys exploring their…um…innocence through painting pink rabbits.
