Asu no Yoichi Episode 5 ~ There is no such thing as ‘Practice’ when it comes to Dating!
I sure don’t recall seeing these sort of Love Letters back when I was in High School…
So it’s another day, and another daunting task for Yoichi to undertake. It’s true that a letter could be taken as a threat, a challenge or a confession…but the first two are not exactly the right ones to assume if the person who gives it to you is a perfectly normally (or so it seems) high school girl. But then again, Yoichi never really had a proper upbringing with social interaction as the main goal…while he is a samurai in all essence of the word, he still lacks knowledge about how the big bag world really works. Luckily for him, Ibuki’s there to help him through it all (in a violent sort of a way at times too). You can check out the various dating sim events that occur here in the gallery.
Strike!
We begin off with our inteprid Yoichi receiving a letter from a underclassman asking him out on a date (much to Ibuki’s dismay I might add). She in turn asks him out on a date since she’s afraid that he’ll wind up doing something incredibly stupid. He accepts and they go out to the city, first to get him some not-so-conspicuous clothing, before going bowling (where he demonstrates his utter lack of knowledge of the game). After an entire day, Yoichi gives Ibuki the stuffed cat that she wanted, but only as gratitude for the ‘practice’. Needless to say, he’s blunt to a point. And Ibuki’s kind of dead looking after that too. I would say that sure’s not particularly sure where she stands now.
Tap ‘P’ repeatedly…
After this, the girl shows up and after some dialogue about how Yoichi cannot accept her confession, she pulls out her 3 section staff (from under her skirt of all places!) and proceeds to attack him. Ibuki is further accosted by two suspicious looking guys, one who knocks the cat out of her hands…not the best thing to do I might point out. It seems like this bunch of not-so-do-gooders are under orders of the suspiciously shadowed figure that has been popping out the last couple of episodes (who, it turns out, has a sister as well!). Regardless, Yoichi beats her handily (and rips her clothes too boot) while Ibuki decimates the two suave guys who annoyed in record time. In the end, Ibuki still has feelings for Yoichi, as dense, perverted and idiotic guy that she claims he is.
She’s not amused
Well..Ibuki’s crush on Yoichi couldn’t be more blatant than it is, especially during this episode. She’s still just one of those characters that secretly likes the character yet at the same time enjoys beating the living stuffing out of him…a souped up version of Ayame as it is. That being said, Ayame doesn’t really have a big role this time, and spends her time stalking the pair after encountering them at the department store. She’s still sensitive about her bust size it would seem too…
Those masks really need to get a work over…
Apart from that, our shadowed antagonists seem to have had a slightly bigger role and have been revealed to us to be a brother and sister pair. They sure like their limos. Still…I don’t think we’ll see them in proper until the last episodes of the season…

Lol! “Don’t accept my confession? THEN I WHACKS YOU WITH STICK!”
It’s so cute, though. ‘dai dai dai dai daisuki’? XD
