Queen’s Blade the Animation

I remembered there was a Queen’s Blade anime in the works and it was announced sometime back…unfortunately i believe it ran behind schedule so it wasn’t to be in the winter season. Most likely it’ll be out the next season after (or the one after that - i’m keeping my hopes up!). Regardless of that i feel slightly disappointed so far - what sort of story line are they hoping to come up with in an all female casted battle royale game? After all, it’s based off a series of visual combat books utlizing the Lost World game mechanics(not that i know of it - i’m strictly D&D).The cast on the other hand is quite extensive. We first have the amazon sisters Reina, Erina, and Claudette (being the main characters in the manga adaption). The miko Tomoe and elf Echidna (who also remains scantily clad) also make appearances in both as does the dwarf princess Ymir. We also see the scythe bearing Airi, the angel Listy, the killer bunny girl Melona, the elf with a spear Nowa, the Egyptian princess Menace and the demon ninja Shizuka to name a few of th ones i can readily recognise. Somehow, i often question the requirements for these characters to be included in the official game - minimal clothing and impressive busts seem to be staple prerequisites (though not consistent).

On the other hand, it seems that Mai Shiranui of Fatal Fury fame has also gotten her own book in the Queen’s Blade universe as well as Dizzy from Guilty Gear (from the latest C75 news). The artstyle looks nice for both but since the Australian Dollar is weak against the Japanese Yen i don’t think I’ll be ordering anything as of yet.

So here’s the promotional video for Queen’s Blade - enjoy.

Snake girl looks dodgy. -thinks tentacle sex- Haiyo, you’re disappointed even though it hasn’t come out yet? XD

The video reminds me of Soul Calibur’s start, though. ._. Except not 3D. -wry-
