Touhou Anime ~ A Summer Day’s Dream (Again)

I believe i mentioned the touhou anime not so long ago - a fanmade production of Maikaze alongside several popular voice actresses that was to be released come Comiket 75. With that convention officially over now, it has been noted that the anime itself was quite popular - i doubt i’ll be even lucky to see a copy here outside Japan. But the legacy of this production lives on video share sites such as youtube and nico nico. Here are the actual subbed videos courtesy of youtube.

While I’m quite taken with the voices, the animation was to be expected - though it wasn’t exactly the best i could hope for, it’s probably the best i could expect from a non-commercial animation studio. That being said, the voice actresses make up for the lack of animation expertise. If you’re a fan of the touhou series you’d want to watch regardless whether you think it’s great or a failure. I would know. I’m one of them.

    What, no screenshots?! Pffttt. Look at my pretty 54 screenshots! XD

    I thought animation was better than I’d expected. Liked the pretty colours.

    This anime is finally on crunchyroll.com and it’s not in parts. It was quite a cute anime the first time I saw it! XD
