Touhou Anime

I think this may be old news but Touhou is getting an anime from the animation studio Maikaze (who are also well known for their touhou related music such as this). It’s supposedly to be released coming up Comiket 75 time and i hope they hold onto their word or they’ll be a lot of disappointed fans out there (me included).

I think the most surprising news is the apparently high profile appearance of Tanaka Rie featuring as the voice of Izayoi Sakuya, the popular knife throwing, time stopping and pad wearing maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. The animation itself seems very…well…amateurish but i won’t hold it against them considering that they’re not a commercial mainstream animation company. Apart from that i’m highly anticipating its launch next year.

Oh. And remember, Zun likes beer.

    Just don’t say pad wearing to her face though - you’ll end up horribly knife thrown to death -wry-

    And Zun likes Beer…a lot of it apparently :P

    Why would she wear pads…I’m sure her hordes of fanboys think she’s fine just the way she is…XD
