Kannagi Episode 2 ~ Magical Girl Nagi
So…the second episode of Kannagi.
There are a few things we can take back from this episode:-
1. Whenever you lie, make sure it’s a good lie.
2. Whenever you lie, make sure you remember you lied about the subject of choice.
3. Whenever you lie, make sure you don’t get caught out of telling that lie.
4. Kids don’t think goddesses playing at ‘magical girl’ are cool (so don’t try anything of the sort when you entertain the kids).
All i can say is that Nagi is such a such a trouble maker. I guess we could cut her some slack since she’s new to the whole ‘current’ world (after all, she’s been stuck in a tree for most of her existence) but really, accidentally super gluing the top half of her broken wand upright in the centre of the living room table…simply priceless.
We’re also introduced to Jin’s childhood friend Tsugumi. If anyone’s getting the whole harem onset feel then i can’t blame you. She’s rather tolerant and gullible though - that might lead to tears later on (sadly enough).
Nagi also throws a fit later in the episode since Jin’s being demanding of her - i mean if you told me to clean up my act, pick up the rubbish, spill the beans about my existence, i would too. She eventually goes out on a quest to purify some impurities as befits her duties as a goddess to only fall victim to…you named it, a black frog in a bouncing ball the size of a tennis ball. It was ridiculously awe inspiring to see Jin come to save the day by simply catching it while Nagi was trying to dodge it (apparently goddesses are weak against black insects and animals - that never happened in my D&D games).
It was a nice episode overall. You’ve got to hand it to Nagi as she entertains and terrorizes the kids who had invaded her former’ home’ by simply waving her wand around and crying murder.
